A chiropractic adjustment, is the procedure performed to restore movement into the spine. The objective of this procedure is to improve function in the joints of the vertebrae that may not be moving correctly, and causing nerve interference. This can happen for a number of reasons ranging from normal daily activity to trauma, recent or previous, such as a car accident, falls, sports injuries child care etc..
When these vertebrae are not functioning properly, it can have an overall systemic effect. Without proper function and flow of all nerves and systems in the body from the brain, we can't be at our peak and ill-health can result.
An adjustment is often a pressure from the chiropractor utilizing my hands or an instrument to restore function to the involved vertebrae. I have been trained in several ways to accomplish this, and will find the one that works right for you.
Overall, adjustments are an excellent way to keep the body functioning at its highest level. When the body is in alignment, the body is able to respond and perform as it was designed to.
